The main component of an industrial bimetal thermometer is a multilayer metal sheet laminated together. An instrument that can automatically and continuously record changes in temperature. In order to improve the sensitivity of temperature measurement, the metal sheet bimetallic thermometer is usually made into a spiral coil shape. When the temperature of the multi-layer metal sheet changes, the amount of expansion or contraction of each layer of metal varies, causing the spiral coil to roll up or loosen. Because one end of the spiral coil is fixed and the other end is connected to a pointer that can rotate freely, the two metals have different volume changes when the temperature changes, so they will bend. One end is fixed, and the other end is displaced with temperature changes, and the displacement is close to a linear relationship with air temperature. The self-recording system is composed of a self-recording clock and a self-recording pen. The self-recording pen is connected to the magnifying lever and is manipulated by the sensing element. Therefore, when the bimetallic plate feels the temperature change, the pointer can indicate on a circular graduation scale The temperature comes. The temperature measurement range of this kind of instrument is 200~650℃, and the allowable error is about 1% of the two steps of the scale. The purpose of this thermometer is similar to that of a rod-shaped glass liquid thermometer, but it can be used under conditions that require higher mechanical strength.
